My Opinion: The record consists mainly of blues rock and hard rock tracks that lure you in with a simple guitar riff and then smash you round the face with a blistering solo and ear crushing drum beats. A particular highlight for me is the mid album track You’re Not Pretty But You Got It Goin’ On, the Black Key’s esque riff at the beginning drags you into 3 minutes of pure and gritty rock that is filled to bursting point with epic highs and shredding guitars.
Conclusion: This record is a straight up, no messing rock record. That said, I still think there is room for improvement… mainly in the slower and more thoughtful moments of the album.
